I. EXORDIUM:

Are you faithful in using what you have?

II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

General believers with a ministry

III. OBJECTIVES:

To encourage to be faithful stewards in what we have attained from Him.

IV. TEXT:

Matthew 25:29

To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.

Pray that GOD will enable us to be faithful in using what we have attained from Him.

V. THESIS:

Be faithful in using well what we got so GOD will give us more.

VI. TITLE:

Abundance To The Faithful

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: Matthew or Levi, one of the twelve apostles.

B. Keyword: Fulfilled

C. Audience: Jews

D. Purpose: To show that JESUS is the Kingly Messiah of Jewish Prophecy

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. To the faithful who uses well:

1. Faithfulness in listening (Luke 8:18)

Luke 8:18

“So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”

2. Faithfulness in doing (James 1:22)

James 1:22

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

3. There is reward in faithful listening : Reward: Faith (Romans 10:17)

Romans 10:17

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

B. To the unfaithful, what they have will be taken away:

1. Be attentive and obedient in listening (Luke 8:18)

Luke 8:18

“So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”

2. There are people who don't understand even if they listen. (Isaiah 6:9, Matthew 13:14, Mark 4:12)

Isaiah 6:9

And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people, ‘Listen carefully, but do not understand. Watch closely, but learn nothing.’

Matthew 13:14

This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, ‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.

Mark 4:12

so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled: ‘When they see what I do, they will learn nothing. When they hear what I say, they will not understand. Otherwise, they will turn to me and be forgiven.’ ”

C. Secret is: Matthew 25:16

Matthew 25:16

“The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more.

1. Begin immediately.

Formula is:

LISTEN - > UNDERSTAND - > DOER

2. If you will not begin immediately, you will LOSE it.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Beging obeying the LORD immediately, FULFILL HIS WILL IN YOU!
