VIII. MAIN BODY:

Joshua 7:24 (Amplified Bible)

And Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan son of Zerah, and the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them to the Valley of Achor.

A. Joshua took Achan with his gold and entire household

"And Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan son of Zerah, and the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had;"

After the word "took", there's the signature of the ALEPH-TAV, the FIRST and the LAST, the BEGINNING and the END, the ALPHA and OMEGA.

It now gives the word "took" special meaning initiated by the LORD. It was never Joshua who took or carry away Achan from among the people but it was JESUS.

1 Timothy 6:9-10 (Amplified Bible)

But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing.

For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs.

So the people will not be diluted with evil and love for money, Achan has to be separated from the people and die a horrible death.

Ezekiel 22:13-14 (Amplified Bible)

Behold therefore, I have struck My hands together at your dishonest gain which you have made and at the blood which has been in the midst of you.

Can your heart and courage endure or can your hands be strong in the days that I shall deal with you? I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

Ecclesiastes 5:13 (Amplified Bible)

There is a serious and severe evil which I have seen under the sun: riches were kept by their owner to his hurt.

Proverbs 15:27 (Amplified Bible)

He who is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live.

Job 20:15 (Amplified Bible)

He has swallowed down [his ill-gotten] riches, and he shall vomit them up again; God will cast them out of his belly.

Achan died a horrible death because of his own fault, he has swallowed ill-gotten riches, now GOD (the LORD JESUS CHRIST) has already casted him out of his belly. The LORD desires us to make as our Treasure not the money of this world.

Matthew 6:21 (Amplified Bible)

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Make JESUS as our own only Treasure and focus our eyes on Him alone.

Luke 6:45 (Amplified Bible)

The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.
