Summary: God cannot do much with a person who cannot think BIG, anybody listening to me?

Anointed hands

2 Kings 13:16”Then he said to the king of Israel, "Put your hand on the bow." And he put his hand on it, then Elisha laid his hands on the king's hands.”

WHOM TO CALL:

The Bible says: Jeremiah 33: 2 "Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name,

3 'Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

We need to know whom to call during times of crisis! Knock the right door! One wrong counseling, one wrong direction, a single wrong advice and carnal thoughts can take you downhill! Discern the will of God! Are you listening? When someone whispers, ‘resign and take up another job with higher salary’ don’t naively submit to all voices, fast and pray to hear HIS voice. Escaping the present crisis and jumping to another safe zone sounds good but if God wants you to stay and face the challenge then yield to the will of God. In the many twists and turns of my life, I have found that God is not bankrupt of ideas, He takes you through the various corridors of life but eventually would lead you to your destination.

OBEY GOD:

You need not know the mysteries of God, just trust Him and follow Him wholeheartedly! God has got the best in mind for you, He not only thinks of you or the present circumstances, but He has in mind many people while working over a situation. His ways are High! (Isaiah 55:9) Bird minded person cannot comprehend God's ways. King of Israel knocked the door of prophet Elisha when he was attacked by enemies and wept over him and said, ‘My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!’ I hope we all turn to the right person when life gets messy! Do you hear me? Prophet Elisha tells him to take a bow and arrows and shoot through the window, ( observe not arrow but arrows – be ready to strike many times) king Joash obeyed the prophet.

GOD WOULD STRENGTHEN YOU:

2 King 13:16" Elisha laid his hands on the king's hands......

I like the part where prophet Elisha lays his hands on the king’s hands; when our hands and shoulders droop with exhaustion, pain and discouragement, God would strengthen our hands through the hands of His prophets. Isaiah 10 'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' Take courage today! Fear not! David said: O my Strength, I will watch for you, for you O God are my fortress." (Psalm 59:9) Wow, what a prayer! When we feel depleted of strength, God sends His forth His Word, He did that for me last night, the cook in our Abide School (free school for the poor) told me that she was leaving the job because of problems in the family, I was not able to get a night warden for the Children Home, I wondered how long can I take these on my shoulders, just then God sent His Word and comforted me and also encouraged me that I got to take the burden - help would come. Hurray.

DON'T SAY ENOUGH

VERSE 18 "Take the arrows," and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, "Strike the ground," and he struck it three times and stopped.

God cannot do much with a person who cannot think BIG, anybody listening to me? We now run our free school for the poor (Abide School) in a rented premises, so someone came to visit us and said, 'Sister, claim this building for your ministry"; however, I told her my vision was big and I want a bigger facility. Glory to Jesus! Stretch the borders of your tent and allow God to fill it. The king struck just three times and stopped hence he was not able to completely wipe out the enemy, same way ask God like queen Esther, "Lord, I want the 10 sons of Haman to be hanged." Esther 9:13 "If it pleases the king, let tomorrow also be granted to the Jews who are in Susa to do according to the edict of today; and let Haman's ten sons be hanged on the gallows."

Remember God is able to do things beyond your expectations, Ephesians 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
