Summary: To show that the anointing oil of the HOLY SPIRIT stays on us, in our right earlobe, right thumb and right toe.

I. EXORDIUM:

Are you cleansed by the blood and the anointing of the HOLY SPIRIT?

Yes.

1 John 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

1 John 2:27 (Amplified Bible)

But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].

Leviticus 14:28 (Amplified Bible)

The priest shall put some of the oil in his hand on the tip of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the places where he has put the blood of the guilt offering.

Leviticus 14:28 (King James Version)

And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:

A. The oil shall be placed on right ear lobe, right thumb and right toe

"And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot,"

Right-hand - the hand opposite to the left, usually the strongest, most convenient or dextrous hand, and hence its name in other languages, as well as in our. (Webster's dictionary)

Oil or "shemen" in Hebrew meaning: grease (as from the olive, often perfumed), richness, anointing, fruitful, ointment, olive, pine.

Exodus 30:31 (Amplified Bible)

And say to the Israelites, This is a holy anointing oil [symbol of the Holy Spirit], sacred to Me alone throughout your generations.

Romans 8:9 (Amplified Bible)

But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God].

1 Corinthians 12:3 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking under the power and influence of the [Holy] Spirit of God can [ever] say, Jesus be cursed! And no one can [really] say, Jesus is [my] Lord, except by and under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.

The oil is a symbol of the HOLY SPIRIT, so therefore when oil is applied or we are anointed by oil, meaning the HOLY SPIRIT is applied on our body as well. As a result, we know that we know, that we know what to do and what to speak at times when we don't know what to speak and what to do, the anointing or the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT will remain inside of us and outside of us and will never leave us nor forsake us. We are calm, collected at peace because of the HOLY SPIRIT.
