Text: Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14

· Duties of a teacher
Body:
A. What is your duty?
1. Fear God
· Recognize that there are consequences for disobeying Him
· Make Him first in your life
2. Keep His commandments
· The 10 commandments
o No other God (Entertainment)
o Graven images (TV)
o Take name in vain
o Sabbath day
o Honor parents
o Kill
o Adultery (Matthew 5:28)
o Steal
o False witness (Haphazard life and call yourself Christian)
o Covet
· The great commandment (Mark 12:30)
o Bible study (2 Timothy 2:15)
o Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
o Church attendance (Hebrews 10:24, 25)
o Evangelism (Matthew 12:34)
o Surgeon – Never opened a medical book, never went to medical school, didn’t know the difference between a scalpel and a retractor, didn’t know the parts of the body
B. Why should you do your duty?
1. The Judgment Seat of Christ
