Are You Listening? Revelation 2:7

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’

Your future depends on learning the voice of the HolySpirt. God may speak to you through others; however, He wants you to learn how to recognize His voice for yourself.

1 Corinthians 2:14NLT But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

Unless you learn how to recognize His voice, you’ll be like a pilot whose instruments failed, so he announced to the passengers, “Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know where we’re going, but you’ll be happy to know we’re making great time!”

Here’s 5 guiding principles:

Listen to His voice before you listen to the voice of doubters.

Without faith you have no future. John 10:14NLT “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,

Listen to His voice before you listen to the ideas and suggestions of others.

Remember: Ideas are not commands. Knowledge key: “His voice is essential.”

Listen to His voice, and your attitude will change miraculously.

When you’ve heard from Him, you can anything. Philippians 2:5NLT You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Listen to His voice before you make any commitment of your time, resources and strength.

They’re too precious to waste. Ephesians 5:18NKJ See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Listen to His voice before you make any significant change in your life.

No regrets. Isaiah 55:10-11NKJ For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Recognizing His voice is what will enable you to... know your assignment... discern pitfalls... and release your faith for the next season of achievement.

How? Pray, “Lord, teach me to discern Your voice. In all things let me be led by Your precious Holy Spirit. Amen.”
