Beloved if you have been following news you will clearly see Matthew 24:7 happening right before our eyes. Matthew 24:7 says ‘for nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.’ This week we saw Saudi, UAE and Bahrain join together and say we are going to break off all diplomatic relations with Qatar. In England and many Europeans nations this year we have seen one terrorist attack after another. In the Middle East war is continuing. There is a threat of war breaking out between India and Pakistan now as many incidents have happened in 2017. Like this I can go on and on about the conflicts that are happening here. Last year I read an article which said that the world is more unstable than it ever was and that there are only about 7 countries in the world who did not have any conflict of any sort. All other countries in the world were either in conflict with another country or within the country there were riots and violence.

Beloved the Lord is already showing us that He is coming. The world may laugh at us and say these are all normal events. However if you compare with history the time period we are living in is the most violent of all history and the one with the most number of conflicts (wars, riots, violence, bloodshed, terrorism). So the question is are you ready for His 2nd Coming?

1 John 3:2-3 says ‘Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.’ Yes if you want to be caught in the mid-air when Jesus comes to take His church home then beloved, this verse we must purify ourselves. Beloved, here is the truth of the Gospel - A person truly born of God will live righteously. Anyone who is born of God is also required to live righteously. Here are scriptures which say so – Romans 6:1-22, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Galatians 4:9, Galatians 5:19-24, Ephesians 4:22-32, Philippians 1:27, Colossians 1:10 & 28, Colossians 3:8-12, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-7, 1 Timothy 4:7-8, 2 Timothy 2:19, Titus 2:11-12, Titus 3:4-8, Hebrews 12:14-15, James 1:21-22, 1 Peter 4:1-5, 2 Peter 3:11, 1 John 3:7-10. Beloved to live righteously and in holiness is not the law. It is very much Grace. In every book of the New Testament it is mentioned over and over again of the need to give up your sin and walk in righteousness. Jesus Himself said Matthew 7:16-20 ‘You will know them by their fruits. Even so every good tree bears good fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.’ Someone who says they are born of God will not behave like the devil nor live like the devil.

Beloved 1 John 2:9 says ‘whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His Seed remains in him; he cannot sin.’ A person born of God will never continue to live in sin because the Word of God and the Spirit of God will convict and show us the path of righteousness. But if you choose to ignore His correction and stubbornly continue in your sin then you will face the judgement and anger of God on that day. Going to Heaven is easy as long as you do what Jesus tells you to do. Now that involves tough choices, sacrifices, total surrender/forsaking all/taking up the cross, persecution, correction, discipline and testing of our faith. That is why Jesus says it is a narrow way where only few enter in (Matthew 7:14). So the truth is only a minority from the whole body of Christ will be in Heaven. It is the bitter truth. These are the ones whom Christ said He will not lose but raise up in the last day (John 6:39-40). God bless you.
