I. Our Faith Is Based In God's Power

II. Our Faith Is Not Based In Worldly Wisdom

I. Our Faith Is Based In God's Power

Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. He said to those who were with him, "The truth is, this man has more faith than anyone I have found, even in Israel. (ERV)

He called more or great faith someone who understood authority (power).

Matthew 9:22 Jesus turned and saw the woman. He said, "Be happy, dear woman. You are made well because you believed." Then the woman was healed.

Faith in the Lord Jesus has made this woman well.

Matthew 9:29 Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, "You believe that I can make you see again, so it will happen."

Expecting miracles from God takes a lot of faith to received it. It comes from faith from God to heal.

Mar 11:22 Jesus answered, "Have faith in God. - There can be no valid faith if that faith is not directed towards God.

Acts 26:18 You will make them able to understand the truth. They will turn away from darkness to the light. They will turn away from the power of Satan, and they will turn to God. Then their sins can be forgiven, and they can be given a place among God's people--those who have been made holy by believing in me.'"

We are all made holy by our faith in God.

Galatians 3:26 You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This shows that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

We are made children of God by our faith in God

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

God, the Holy Spirit has fruits and one of them is faith.

Colossians 1:4 We thank him because we have heard about the faith you have in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all of God's people.

God, the Son gave us faith to believe in Him.

Our faith came from God's power, without God's power our faith are all futile.

II. Our Faith Is Not Based In Worldly Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1:18 The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:19 As the Scriptures say, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will confuse the understanding of the intelligent."

1 Corinthians 1:20 So what does this say about the philosopher, the law expert, or anyone in this world who is skilled in making clever arguments? God has made the wisdom of the world look foolish.

1 Corinthians 1:21 This is what God in his wisdom decided: Since the world did not find him through its own wisdom, he used the message that sounds foolish to save those who believe it.

1 Corinthians 1:22 The Jews ask for miraculous signs, and the Greeks want wisdom.

1 Corinthians 1:23 But this is the message we tell everyone: Christ was killed on a cross. This message is a problem for Jews, and to other people it is nonsense.

1 Corinthians 1:24 But Christ is God's power and wisdom to the people God has chosen, both Jews and Greeks.

1 Corinthians 1:25 Even the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom. Even the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
