A. Because of us, the LORD JESUS committed Himself.

"And for their sakes I sanctify myself,"

1. us stands for believers. Anyone who have accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST as Master, GOD, Lord and Savior.

Leviticus 26:45 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For their sakes I will remember my ancient covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of all the nations, that I might be their God. I am the Lord.”

It is for our own benefit and advantage not GOD, because GOD as GOD does not need any human, but we humans, need GOD and apart from Him we are nothing. It is all for us, that's why CHRIST when He descended from heaven to come to earth it is for our own sakes, benefit, advantage, healing and salvation not for Him, because when He's there in heaven He would be perfectly alright with the Father, but because of us, He burdened Himself.

Genesis 18:24 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city—will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes?

GOD always move with motivation of benefiting His children not the other way around, because GOD is our Father,

"After all, children don’t provide for their parents. Rather, parents provide for their children."

2 Corinthians 12:14 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Now I am coming to you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you. I don’t want what you have—I want you. After all, children don’t provide for their parents. Rather, parents provide for their children.

2 Corinthians 8:9 (New International Version)

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Romans 8:28 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

It is for our own good, stop running away from GOD, because you think He's benefiting from you, actually we're all benefiting from Him.

B. So that we can be committed to Him (The Truth - John 14:6) (Acts 20:32, 1 Corinthians 6:11, Romans 11:6, Romans 3:28, Romans 4:5)

"that they also might be sanctified through the truth."

John 14:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Acts 20:32 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.

1 Corinthians 6:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Romans 11:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.

Romans 3:28 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

Romans 4:5 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
