Psalm 37:1 - 9 Blessed Quietness I. Our Comprehension - A. The Testimony of Evil People - :1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

1. Do Not Be Distressed Over Them - :1a Fret not thyself because of evildoers

2. Do Not Be Desirous Of Them - :1b neither be thou envious 3. Do Not Be Deceived By Them against the workers of iniquity. Job 31:3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity? Job 34:22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. Ps 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Ps 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. B. The Testimony of Earthly Plants - 37:2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. They are :- Passing For they shall soon, Perishing be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb

II. Our Confidence - 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

A. Our Dependency - :3a Trust in the LORD B. Our Deeds - :3b and do good

C. Our Dwelling - :3c so shalt thou dwell in the land, D. Our Demands - :3d and verily thou shalt be fed

III. Our Communion - 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

A. Our Delights - :4a Delight thyself also in the LORD B. Our Debts- :4b and he shall give thee C. Our Desires :4c the desires of thine heart IV. Our Commitment - 37:5, Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

A. He Will Deliver According to His Reliability - :5 Commit thy way unto the LORD

B. According to His Responsibility - :5b trust also in him

C.According to His Respectability - :5c and he shall bring it to pass D.According to His Righteousness -:6a And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,

E. According to His Recompense - :6b and thy judgment as the noonday.

V. Our Contentment - 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

A. Our Calmness - :7a Rest in the LORD

B. Our Composure - :7b and wait patiently for him

C. Our Control - :8a Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: D. Our Contentment - :8b fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

E. Our Confidence - :9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
