VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Blessed be the LORD

"Blessed be the Lord,"

Psalms 31:21-22

Blessed be the Lord! For He has shown me His marvelous loving favor when I was beset as in a besieged city.

As for me, I said in my haste and alarm, I am cut off from before Your eyes. But You heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to You for aid.

Psalms 66:19-20

But certainly God has heard me; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.

Blessed be God, Who has not rejected my prayer nor removed His mercy and loving-kindness from being [as it always is] with me.

Jeremiah 33:3

Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).

Isaiah 65:24

And it shall be that before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear.

Matthew 6:7-8

And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the same ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

This world's inhabitants, the unbelievers, has a way of making themselves beautiful in men's sight but abominable in GOD's sight. They say things that will make them good, like "my prayers are for you." though in reality they don't pray. Hypocrisy is the attraction of this world.

Illustration:

They say "I have prayed for you." but in reality they don't really pray, how can they? If they don't believe GOD's WORDS - the answer to prayers.

B. The LORD heard our earnest prayers

"because He has heard the voice of my supplications."

Psalms 107:19-21

Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses.

He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.

Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

Hebrews 13:15

Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];

Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Psalms 116:1-2

I LOVE the Lord, because He has heard [and now hears] my voice and my supplications.

Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live.

Psalms 118:5

Out of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place.

We call to the LORD every single moment we can. It's unceasing prayer. In one whole day, I can't remember how many times I pray. I pray before and after every meal, I pray in the Spirit, I pray with my understanding. I pray every task. I pray when I take my bath. I pray, thanking the LORD for the vehicles He provides. I pray when doing sermons. I pray before I leave the house. Pray every task. That's the secret. Always remember the LORD in your prayers.

Deuteronomy 8:18

But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
