Summary: Seek, See, Sieze, and Seed. These are the four points to consider to have your vision become a reality.

Trying for 20/20 Vision

VISION/COMPASSION/ACTION

Mt. 6:33

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)

(RVG04)

I. SEEK

One must desire a vision; pursue a dream.

It is more than just having your eyes open.

There must be an active search and pursuit.

God has called all of us to seek salvation. Even the heathen who have never heard of Jesus, have an inner longing to know and worship their supreme Creator.

Upon salvation, each believer should seek direction from God. The Lord will undoubtedly reveal to you a vision of what you can do for His kingdom.

Vision = light

Jn. 9:5

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (KJV)

(RVG04)

II. SEE

A. See things as they really are.

Mt. 7:5

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. (KJV)

(RVG04)

Sometimes we can't see what is in plain view, because our eyes are full of other stuff.

It is aggravating to be looking for something fervently and then find out that it was right in front of you the whole time.

2 P. 1:9

9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. (KJV)

(RVG04)

This verse is alluding to some basic virtues of christianity.

Be careful not to be in such a rush to see your vision fulfilled, that ye overlook other important qualities that God is trying to build in your life.

Luke 11:42

42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. (KJV)

(RVG04)

B. See from the Heart (Compassion)

There must be a driving factor for one to continue pursuing the vision.

PASSION/COMPASSION

Your heart beats to see it come true.

James 5:16

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (KJV)

(RVG04)

III. SIEZE the Opportunity

You can look at something all day long and never have it in your clutches.

Don't expect that the fulfillment of your vision is just simply going to fall in you lap. There must be preparations made along the way.

Make room for your ministry.

ACTION is required.

Move toward the vision and sieze it at the appropiate time. Don't let it elude your grasp.

IV. SEED

Once the vision is being unfolded in your life, it must be treated like the precious seed. If it is not handled correctly, it will come to naught.

Dig, water, fertilize, deweed, cultivate, etc.

NOTES:

General Process

1. Birth of a Vision

2. Death of a Vision

3. Rebirth of a Vision

Why? So we don't think that we can do it on our own.

Examples:

a. Abraham----son of promise; offer him on the mount.

b. Moses----in front of Red Sea; no way to cross; Pharaoh right behind him

c. Paul----stoned; but he gets up; beaten and imprisoned; shipwrecked; bitten by a snake; but he presses on to fulfill his calling.

2 Tim. 1:12

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. {believed: or, trusted} (KJV)

(RVG04)
