I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Application: There is nothing that changes more than a little child …

II. GOD HAS A PURPOSE IN EVERY CHANGE THAT TAKES PLACE IN YOUR LIFE

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

III. SOME THINGS THAT NEVER CHANGE

Application: In the midst of our changing world there are some things that will never change:

A. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE

Malachi 3:6a (NKJV)

"For I am the LORD, I do not change;

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

B. GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY DOES NOT CHANGE

Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV)

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.

C. GOD’S WORD DOES NOT CHANGE

Matthew 5:17-18 (NKJV)

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Quote: People don’t break the Laws of God, they break themselves against the Law of God. (T.C. Mitchell)

IV. THE PROPER CHRISTIAN REACTION TOWARD CHANGE

A. SEEK TO KNOW GOD’S WILL IN THE MIDST OF THE CHANGE TAKING PLACE

Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)

Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

B. TRY TO VIEW THE CHANGE FROM THE GREATER PERSPECTIVE

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV)

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts

C. ACKNOWLEDGE AND TRUST GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY

2 Timothy 1:12 (NKJV)

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
