"Christ Our Sovereign" - Psalm 24

I. GOD CARES ABOUT YOUR WELFARE (Psalms 24:1-3). The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? God Owns Everything On Earth By Creative Right - 24:1a God Owns Everyone On The Earth By Creative Right - 24:1b (a) God The Father cares about your Spiritual Welfare. The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; seen in :- Creation, Redemption, & Revelation. (b) God The Son cares about your Spiritual Welfare. seen in His :- Purchase Of Us, His Provision For Us, His Petitions on Our Behalf Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (c) God The Spirit cares about your Spiritual Welfare. he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. He is here with us today - John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: II. GOD CARES ABOUT YOUR WORSHIP: (Psalms 24:4-5) He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. we should spend more time in worship; (Psalms 107:8). Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!(a) Our Work Is For God - :4a "clean hands" (b) Our Will Is of God - :4b "pure heart" (c) Our Worship Is To God - 4c "not lifted up his soul unto vanity" (d) Our Words Are To Be Like God - 4d "nor sworn deceitfully" God cares about our Spiritual Worship. Psalm 103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name?. III. GOD CARES ABOUT YOUR WORK: (Psalms 24:6-7). This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. The workers are called up here to raise the lintels of the doors and gates when the High and Majestic King of the Universe is coming. That is hard work; but think of the results of that labour - The King comes in. - make the way for Jesus to come into people's lives?

IV. GOD CARES ABOUT YOUR WARFARE: (Psalms 24:8). Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Revelation 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. The girdle in the Bible days was like a belt or a sash that made a man ready for battle, or work. It tied up the robes they wore that would be in the way of either work or war. God cares about our Warfare; and He presents us an example - never unbind our girdles. This is not the time for lying down at ease, but service and warfare. Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. V. GOD CARES ABOUT YOUR WALK: (Psalms 24:9-10). Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. (a) The Revelation of The Lord - :8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (b) The Reception of The Lord - :9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. (c) The Recognition of The Lord - :10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
