COMMANDS OF CHRIST
Christ gave us a number of commands here are the Seven top in order for us to serve him our best. A sinner needs to follow these in order to become a
Christian.
1.“REPENT”
Luke 13: 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
A. We must change our mind .
B. We must change our heart
C. We must change our ways
2. “BELIEVE”
John 3 :16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
A. Rest for the soul
B. Trust in our Lord
C. Lead by the Spirit
D. Fed by the word.
3.“LOVE”
John 13: 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
A. Affection of heart
B. Love the ones that don’t love you
C. Love for your enemy .
D. Love for the church
E Love for your fellowman
4.“FOLLOW”
John 12: 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
A. Walk of the feet
B. Walk on solid ground
C. Walk in his foot steps
D. Take up his cross each day
5.“ABIDE”
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
A. Attitude of the spirit
B. The branch must have life support
C. The branch must have life blood
D. When broken it will die
6.“TARRY”
Luke 24: 49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
A. Pleading of the faith
B. Be still wait on the Lord
C. In due time God will empower us
D. He will fill our needs as we trust and ask
7.“GO”
Matt : 28: 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19:Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
A. Testimony of lips
B. Go tell the world what God has done for you
C. Share the Grace of God with family friends
D .Show the world what he has done and tell them how.
