Summary: Something amazing about spiritual growth is that the more we grow in the Lord is the more we learn to surrender to the ways of the Spirit

Somewhere in 2014 I heard the Lord say, “what you will accomplish in your life will not be by your skills, education or wisdom, I have a plan for you, which you can only accomplish down on your knees in complete surrender to me.” Something amazing about spiritual growth is that the more we grow in the Lord is the more we learn to surrender to the ways of the Spirit. To completely surrender to the Lord means you have to give up everything that has to do with the flesh, every human strategy, every human plan & goal, every human method, must be yielded to the plans, methods and strategies of the Holy Spirit. His plans must become your plans, his ways your ways, his works your works, his desires your desires, his dreams your dreams. God’s plan is that we should be identified and united with him in purpose, plans, motives, ideas, & goals. He wants to take over our entire being, spirit, soul & body. He wants us to think his thoughts, so that we can talk his talk and act like him.

All this is possible through the Word. We must study and meditate on his Word so much so until the Word takes over our system. The Word must become your joy, strength, health, peace, wealth, and life. Jesus said concerning his union with the Holy Ghost, “the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing” (John 5:19). Jesus completely yielded himself to the ways of the Spirit, his thoughts, plans, methods were completely surrendered to the Holy Spirit. You cannot walk with the Lord if you want to do things on your terms, you do not tell him what to do, he tells you what to do. If you study the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, they went through the same process, they had to surrender the flesh before they could walk with the Lord. It is this way for every man, you cannot change God to suit your needs, you must change to suit his ways. BLESSED BE THE LORD…………!
