Summary: God who is a good God as through His Son given us a better covenant.

God is a covenant keeping God and as manifested His will in our lives through the coming of Himself in the body of His Son Jesus Christ. He had to become man in other to understand man and reconcile us back to the Father. God from the beginning of time has always been a God that keeps His promises and is still keeping His promises up till now.

God is the Almighty God - Revelation 1:8, and we cannot begin to comprehend the mightiness of God, and the bible says so to us in Psalm 145:3.

God loves us that much He had to make a way for us to be reconciled back to Him, God is Love Himself and because of His love, He redeemed us from the hands of the enemy - Psalm 107:2. We are the redeemed ones.

In the book of Colossians 1:13 it says this:

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

Another translation puts it this way:

For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son.

This is what God as done for us, all because of His love and care for us has His children. we remember where God said to is in the book of Ephesians 1:3-6

Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ, just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will— to the praise of His glorious grace and favor, which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved [His Son, Jesus Christ].

God blessed us with every spiritual blessing.

God chose us in his love in Christ.

God chose us to be holy.

God called us to be blameless in His sight.

God adopted us as His own children.

God blessed us with His grace and favor.

This is why God been God gave us His grace.

What is the biblical meaning of grace.?

Grace is Chesed in Greek meaning:

Deliverance from enemies, affliction or adversity.

Grace is enablement, daily guidance, forgiveness and preservation.

Grace is Charis:

It focuses on the provision of Salvation.

Jesus is God's grace.

Grace is believing in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

In this covenant of grace, God through the power of the Holy Spirit helps us to live a life that pleases God. The Christian life cannot do without the help of the Holy Spirit Jesus came to fulfil the law and did not come to destroy the law according to His word.

Matthew 5:17 - 20

Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfil. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished. So whoever breaks one of the least [important] of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them, he will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

For I say to you that unless your righteousness (uprightness, moral essence) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

In the easy to read translation it says this:

Jesus and the Old Testament Writings

Don’t think that I have come to destroy the Law of Moses or the teaching of the prophets. I have come not to destroy their teachings but to give full meaning to them. I assure you that nothing will disappear from the law until heaven and earth are gone. The law will not lose even the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter until it has all been done.

A person should obey every command in the law, even one that does not seem important. Whoever refuses to obey any command and teaches others not to obey it will be the least important in God’s kingdom. But whoever obeys the law and teaches others to obey it will be great in God’s kingdom. I tell you that you must do better than the teachers of the law and the Pharisees. If you are not more pleasing to God than they are, you will never enter God’s kingdom.
