Summary: The Death of Jesus Christ.
There Pilate put a Title above his head
JESUS OF NAZARETH KING OF THE JEWS.
Written in Hebrew – Greek – and Latin
After he was hung on the cross the Roman Soldiers parted his clothing into four parts one for each soldier
THE SCRIPTURE BEING FULFILLED SAID
THEY PARTED MY RAMENT AMOUNG THEM, AND FOR MY VESTURE THEY DID CAST LOTS
Standing by his cross was his Mother, His Mothers Sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene
Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved – John – then Jesus said to his Mother Woman behold thy SON. And He said to John BEHOLD THY MOTHER – And John took her to his Home. Now Jesus knowing that all things were done said I THIRST
THEY GAVE HIM THE Vinegar in a sponge then he said
IT is finished----AND HE DIED.
Now the Jews then was in a hurry because they didn’t want the bodies to remain on their cross because it was coming up on the SABBATH - they respected the sabbath but crucified an innocent Jesus….
and they asked Pilate that their legs be broken
Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and the other which were crucified with Jesus
But when they came to Jesus they saw he was dead already and they didn’t break his legs – but pierced his side with a sword - and blood and water came out
once again scriptures being fulfilled says;
A BONE OF HIM SHALL NOT BE BROKEN
AND ANOTHER;
THEY SHALL LOOK ON HIM WHOM THEY PIERCED
Then a disciple of Jesus named Joseph came and asked Pilate for his body
Also came Nicodemus with myrrh and aloes and they took Jesus’ body and wound it with the strips in the manner of the Jews
Which was they wound Him from head to foot!
And then they laid his body in the tomb.
On the 1st day of the week – 3 days later Mary Magdalene came early before daylight and the stone was rolled away – She ran to Simon Peter and John and said they have taken the Lord away and we know not where
So they ran to the tomb and looked in seeing the linen clothes lying. At this point they didn’t know the scripture
THAT HE MUST RISE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD.
Mary Magdalene stood outside the tomb crying
She turned around and saw Jesus but didn’t know
That it was him nor who He was…
JESUS SAID;
WOMAN WHY WEEPEST THOU?
WHOM SEEKEST THOU?
Mary thought He was the gardener and said
If you have carried Him away then tell me where and I will take Him away
Jesus said to her MARY
She turned and said Master
Then Jesus said
TOUCH ME NOT FOR I AM NOT YET ASCENDED TO MY FATHER
BUT GO TO MY BRETHREN AND SAY UNTO THEM
I ASCEND UNTO MY FATHER – AND YOUR FATHER AND TO MY GOD AND YOUR GOD
Mary told the disciples she had seen the lord and he had spoken these things to her now on that same day Jesus appeared where the disciples were assembled
Jesus showed them his hands and his side
They were glad to see the Lord
JESUS SAID;
PEACE BE UNTO YOU; AS MY FATHER HATH SENT ME EVEN SO SEND I YOU
THEN HE BREATHED ON THEM AND SAITH RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST.
WHOSESOEVER SINS YE REMIT THEY ARE REMITTED—UNTO THEM AND WHOSESOEVER SINS YE RETAIN THEY ARE RETAINED.
Thomas wasn’t with them when Jesus came
