Why pull the devil now

Luke 8:12”….the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.”

Why do we tend to blame the devil and his convoys, every time calamity rattles us, every time a problem needs fixing? Yes, I repeat your problems needs fixing from your end, rather than blame it all on the ‘devil and his team.’ Wake up!

A person blames witchcraft done against him and the family for huge loss in his business rather than focusing on his spiritual decay. This same person ignores Church, God and His Word and runs around making money until the rug is pulled under his feet, now, he screams witchcraft. Dude, check out your walk with God! When you walk more with the devil, he tends to keep you away from the Savior. Caveat!

We need to study why so many people remain impervious to the good things God, His House and His Word offers us?

• Deuteronomy 28:11 "The LORD will make you abound in prosperity,

• 13 "The LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully,”

All God demands for a ‘super-duper’ life is meticulous obedience to His commandments! I got so wrapped up and obsessed with the promises in Deuteronomy that I got aggressively serious in following His commands. Like Usian Bolts I was bent on winning, I was not going to take mediocrity, adversity, poverty, scarcity, diseases and sufferings anymore, I suffered enough and now I wanted the ‘superfluous abundance’ that God offers me, I would do all it takes to get it. Anybody listening? Have you at any time desire like this? Tell me. We run behind our boss, supervisor and team leaders for an extra bonus, we compromise Church for work on Sunday, we stay back late in office just to impress officers; ignorant of the fact that God can do much more if you obey Him spotlessly. Much more! Abundantly! Pressed down, shaken together and running over! Are you listening?

A huge junk of Christians don’t read the Bible on a daily basis, some read a few verses and others don’t touch it all. Are you listening to me? No wonder we cannot hear God at the time when the roof caves in, don’t blame the devil for this, you got to rectify your life. Open those creaky doors of your heart and allow God in to control your life rather than live with the devil and his convoys.

The devil is a liar, he wants to steal you away from God, caveat!
