Summary: There is a terrible spiritual battle of attitudes, those that say it can’t be done are being passed by those doing it!
TURKEY HEART VS AN EAGLE HEART

YOU HAVE TO SEE FLOWERS IN THE MIND, BEFORE YOU CAN EVER SEE A FLOWER GARDEN!
You have to do more than love flowers, you must also hate weeds.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint!
Proverbs 30:18 There are three things which are to wonderful for me, yea, four things which I know not:
19. The way of the eagle in the air; the way of the serpent upon a rock; the way of the ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE
True happiness consist not of things or friends but of the worth of choices and attitudes.
We make our choice in friends and enemies?
The choice of a point of view is our initial action.
TURKEY? VS. EAGLE? CHOICES?
DEFINE ATTITUDE:
---Position --- Mental position with regard to a
fact
---a feeling or emotion toward a fact ---
--- a negative or hostile state of mind ---
Life is a battle of attitudes.
Some see things as they are and ponder, WHY?
Others ponder Why not? And How can I accomplish this?
Professional Sports Draft...
All the players come with about the same skills. Every candidate comes on about the same skill level.
The scouts approach the draftees with several thoughts:
1. Who will fit in with our system?
2. Who can be a team player and play not just to their ability, but fit in with the vision and plan of the whole?
3. Some players come with a winning attitude. THEY CAN WIN A CONFERENCE TITLE, BUT THEY DON’T THINK
THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO REPEAT!
A good way to define a person’s character would be to know their MORAL and MENTAL ATTITUDE.
The inside says: THIS IS THE REAL ME!
Attitude of how we look at things?
1. Look away? Ignore all you reject? Deny? Blow smoke?
2. Look toward? Fruits? Consequences?
TURKEYS SEE THE PROBLEM? Scratch in the dirt?
EAGLES SEE THE PROMISE AS THE SOLUTION! Soar in the sky!
LET US STUDY A MAN NAMED CALEB...
THEORY, PRACTICAL, ACTUAL...
Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite
Caleb was from a little family that had never achieved much fame or fortune.
Caleb was 1 of the 12 spies.
Caleb never had a real reason to claim his mountain.
Caleb was courageous.
EAGLE! --- I TELL YOU --- YOU CAN DO IT! GOD SAID WE CAN! SO WE CAN!
Numbers 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and
possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
TURKEY! --- I TOLD YOU, WE CAN’T DO IT.
31: But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are
stronger than we.
TURKEYS SEE WHAT WE CAN’T DO!
EAGLES SEE WHAT GOD CAN DO!
TURKEY ---THE ATTITUDE --- WE CAN’T DO IT IS CONTAGIOUS!
32: And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of
Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants
thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
TURKEY OR EAGLE! --- HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF IS REFLECTIVE! (I USE A MIRROR HERE.)
33: And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants; and we were in our own
sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
TURKEY! --- DEPRESSION BREEDS DEPRESSION! NEGATIVE WORDS BREED NEGATIVE ACTIONS!
Numbers 14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
EAGLE! --- THE GOOD NEWS IS THE BAD NEWS IS NOT THE TRUTH!
You cannot beat negative attitudes, you overwhelm them, or you out live them.
EAGLE! --- A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE!
Numbers 14:24 But my servant Caleb because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me
fully, him will I bring into the land where into he went; and his seed shall possess it.
TURKEY VS. EAGLE? IT IS ALL A MATTER OF CHOICES! SIMPLE CHOICES?
Numbers 32:12 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun; for they have
wholly followed the Lord.
CALEB HAD A DIFFERENT ATTITUDE.
Deut. 1:36 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath
trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord.
