"Dogs in the Church"

BI - "We should rejoice in the fact that our salvation has nothing to do with who we are or what we have accomplished. It rests solely on the Person and Work of Jesus Christ."

I. Paul’s Caution - (3:1,2)

Paul warned the Philippian believers to continuously guard the church against:

II. Paul’s Comparison - (3:3)

Paul reminded the believers at Philippi of the difference between true Christians and those who claimed to be through ritualism. True believers are those who:

III. Paul’s Credentials - (3:4-6)

Paul was not boasting but showing that he too could boast of his heritage and accomplishments if salvation were based on those things. He had a:

B. Privileged Heritage - "the stock of Israel"

C. Proud Heritage - "the tribe of Benjamin"

D. Pure Heritage - "an Hebrew of the Hebrews"

E. Pious Heritage - "as touching the law, a Pharisee"

F. Patriotic Heritage - "Concerning zeal, persecuting the church"

G. Polished Heritage - "touching the righteousness of the law, blameless"
