Drink Your Assigned Up

John 18:10-11 King James Version (KJV)

10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Beloved, many people, Christians would be happy with Peter's attempt to defend and even ask if he has not a bigger sword.

Everybody today is looking for loyalists, people who will stand with us through thick and thin.

I would like to ask you;

Who is a loyalist? Is it one who will defend the indefensible for you?

Peter defended Jesus but Jesus asked him a question, that, is He not supposed to drink the cup which His Father has given to Him?

Beloved Peter a good and loyal friend could have by his sword destroy the opportunity for Jesus to drink the cup God has given Him to drink.

Beloved we need friends who will help us go through all the challenges and come out stronger and better. A friend who will stay by us and encourage us, as we drink the cup our Father in heaven has given us.

Beloved, don't see every challenge or difficult issue or an issue bringing about suffering as a wrong situation and you ought not be there or go through it and all that.

We go through these things to make us stronger and prepare us for a better future and also as great supports to them that go through similar situations because by the time we finish going through it, we know what it takes to be there.

Beloved we all have a cup to drink, what is your cup?

Start asking God what your cup is because until you drink it, your greatness is limited.

Jesus did not have a name above all names that at the mention of the name Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord, until He drunk the cup that the Lord gave Him.

If you want to be as God has destined you to be, then you have to drink the cup He has given you as a preparatory tool or that which will cause you to pay the price for such greatness.

Beloved know your cup and drink it.

*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. Drink the cup and the name of Jesus would be exalted in all aspects of it for He will strengthen you, hold your hand and guide you through, to the glory of His holy name.

Prayer: Father please strengthen me to drink the cup you have given me in the Mighty name of Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
