Summary: I am talking to those of you who are preaching, teaching the Word of God and also to those who have made resolutions to resist the devil, here comes the Word to empower you to attack the devil and punch his nose.

Dwell securely

Proverbs 1:33 "But he who listens to me shall live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil."

Friends, this is an awesome promise! When you take obedience to God seriously then you can live at ease, are you listening? Those of you who are living double standard life with one leg in the world, need not worry about the outrage of the evil forces, because you are already with him, I am talking to those of you who are preaching, teaching the Word of God and also to those who have made resolutions to resist the devil, here comes the Word to empower you to attack the devil and punch his nose.

We recently conducted our united Christmas program with our Shiloh Revival Church and Abide School students, parents of our students are mostly from very backward background and many fathers are alcoholics. As a family we fasted, prayed and I also sent prayer requests to many resources to uphold us in prayer fully aware of the attacks that we would face. Just when it was time for the final drama which was the birth of Jesus Christ narrated through the transformation experience of a young boy, the evil forces started attacking the crowd, one drunk guy walked into the function hall and started fighting and beating his wife who was among the crowd. We could feel the dark forces hovering at the entrance, I was standing at the entrance and praying; however, another drunk fellow gave us a slip and walked up the platform while my daughter was on the stage. My husband and few other men took him away from the hall, I could feel that it was only God and his angels who protected us that day from further calamity and chaos, Psalm 91:1 saved us: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” Don’t take your cool life for granted, prayerfully keep your family under the blood of Lord Jesus Christ.

a) Do not be enticed :

Friend, if you want to be safe and secure, you got to first refuse and say no when the devil entices and allures you to wrong places. Are you listening? Proverbs 1:10,11”..if sinners entice you, Do not consent.” Friend, you should be able to discern who is inviting you and wisely refuse. You cannot accept all invitations, if you are naïve and stupid then you would fall prey to the devil’s evil devices. There are practices like “overnight stay, sleepover party’ and whatnot among the teens, be careful to keep your children away from such dangerous zones, it is tough but as parents you got to be on your knees to protect your children from such hazards.

b) When you love God:

When you love Him wholeheartedly, not wishy-washy kind of love but genuine, then you would have God’s protection all over you, are you listening? God very rightly said that the most important commandment of all is: “"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.” (Deuteronomy 6:5,6) It was David’s love for God that protected him from the deadly assault of Saul, read 1 Samuel 23:14”Day after day Saul searched and hunted for David, but God did not give David into his hands. “ Did you read those words, “God did not give David into his hands”, this is what you call as personal protection, are you listening? When God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31); however, there is a requirement here and that is to love God and hate the things of the world. James 4:4” don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

A young born again, Bible reading, church-going, tongue-speaking, Christian girl got involved with a married man with two kids and also got a son from him, God’s wrath was upon that girl, the man who once loved her started to beat her violently, I requested her to leave the relationship. She had no help from her family, police or friends, she was abandoned by all; this is what would happen when you stray away from God. Caveat! Finally she managed to leave him, amend your life in order to have God’s protection over you. Proverbs 1:32” "For the waywardness of the naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them.”

c) Discretion will guard you:

Proverbs 2:11”Discretion will guard you, Understanding will watch over you.” There are many out there, who claim to be Christians but without discretion and understanding and therefore they go through many hassles. Listen today! During my initial days of salvation, I was very aggressive and passionate, burning to serve the Lord, I would eagerly accept all preaching invitations; however, slowly I gained understanding from the Lord and became cautious in accepting offers. Let me tell you about one particular incident, I was on a week’s ministry visit in a that city, after the morning service in the church, I was invited by another pastor for the evening special service in his church which was situated in a faraway remote village. I accepted the offer but later regretted because the meeting was carelessly arranged without proper prayers and also the pastor was a reckless driver , his hazardous driving and carelessness would have brought serious consequences if not for the grace of God that protected me, I don’t accept invitations from such pastors anymore. You get discretion only through your intimate walk with God,
