DYING TO LIVE AGAIN!!! 99-2
SCRIPTURE: 2 Cor 5:1-10 Responsive
INTRO: Objective: Sinners would be encouraged to come to Christ & People of God will be encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ
End of Chapt 4 Paul was discussing with the Corinthians the motivation for his zeal in ministry. In essences he says that the Source of My Strength is the fact that God will receive the Glory from what we do (for this cause we faint not even though our bodies are dying we are looking forward to an eternal Joy) the seed in the kids the changed lives
think of no better reason why we should accept Jesus Christ today. Numerous situations Just had a cousin pass in Boston 51 yrs old Many of our relatives are dealing with illness many of use right in this room have right now have or had different ailments
as much as we pray, Fast, praise, work whatever, 1 thing is inescapable
1. Everyone Must die and go somewhere.
Chp 5 vs 1 When in the NLT Some one said that the stastics on death are incredible,
1 out of 1 person dies Land of the living vrs land of the dying but Im dying to live again!
Go somewhere. Rev 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Preacher getting scary If don’t know saved ought to be scaird

But if accept Jesus Death No longer has power over you:

14 and blotted out the charges proved against you, the list of his commandments which you had not obeyed. He took this list of sins and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross.

If you accept salvation your moving from living death to deathless life.
2. If you accept Jesus will have a new home and a new body!
Rd vrs 1-4 Body decaying daily but God prepared a mansion John 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.(KJV)
3. It’s a done deal!!
Vrs 5 God himself made this plan and Just so we won’t get he left us the Holy ghost a downpayment, Earnest money = Guarantee.
That guarentee makes us confident vrs 6 Faithful vrs 7 . Not afraid of death vrs 8
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
4. All must stand before Christ to be judged!!
Heb 9:27
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Read vrs 10 Now is the time to get right please God today
If you continue to live in sin and be disobedient to the Son of God, you are the living dead Eph 2:1; If living in sin, dead now and gonna see the 2nd death but if you accept Jesus christ today everlasting life
2 Cor 7:10
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Rom 2:2-4
2 And we know that God, in justice, will punish anyone who does such things as these.
3 Do you think that God will judge and condemn others for doing them and overlook you when you do them, too?
4 Don’t you realize how patient he is being with you? Or don’t you care? Can’t you see that he has been waiting all this time without punishing you, to give you time to turn from your sin? His kindness (goodness) is meant to lead you to repentance.
