Summary: The Rapture is the next thing that will happen according to the Bible. When will it happen-What is it-Why will it happen?

Harold Camping I'm sure has done a lot of things in his 89 years on this Earth. Things that I know of he has done: he has proved that he is a false prophet by predicting the rapture in 1994, he has misrepresented God's word, he has caused thousands to follow his twisted interpretation of the Bible again by saying the rapture will happen tomorrow. Yes, I just couldn't help myself in writting that he will miss his prediction tomorrow May 21, 2011, this being Friday night the 20th of May 2011 of this writing.

There might be a very slim chance that some might search for the truth after tomorrow and give their life to Christ but, not very likely. The thing I feel will happen is that many will turn from Christianity, many will turn from the truth of God's word because of one mans journey of self indulgence.

There is one more thing he did, he caused me to write each week in this newsletter for the next few weeks what the Bible says about the end of times and what the future holds for Christians and all of mankind. This will be Part 1

The Rapture is the next thing that will happen according to the Bible. When will it happen-What is it-Why will it happen?

When will it happen? Answer: Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come

It's not for us to know the day but, we are to "watch therefore" ...Be faithful, watch and study..read Matthew 24:5-8

I believe it will happen before the Tribulation ...1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ and also Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

What is it? Answer: The following verses states that all living believers, along with all believers who have died, will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and will be with Him forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Asleep in the Bible means our fleshly bodies, not our state of mind or our very being. There will never be a time when we are not conscience ....in other words, our soul and spirit are fully aware of our surroundings wither in our fleshly body or present with the Lord or in our glorified body. All that belong to Christ will get their bodies designed by God to last for all eternity at the time of the Rapture.

Here is what the Bible says about it in 1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incor-ruptible, and we shall be changed.53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

A run down: Jesus will bring all the saved with Him at the Rapture. (1 Thessalonians 4:14) They will get their glorified bodies first.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16) In 1 Corinthians 15:52 says dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

The dead bodies, the bodies that are in the grave...the bodies that are asleep the Bible calls them. Then if we are still alive our fleshly bodies change to glorified..the key words are we shall be changed. Our soul and sprit will be united with our body but, it will be glorified..it will be changed to last forever just like Jesus...He is the first example of what will happen to those who believe on Him. 1 John 3:2 : but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
