"End Of Times" What I Believe And Why. Part 3 "Battle Of Armageddon/Return Series

God's children are taken up in the Rapture. The 7 year Tribulation begins and chaos as the world has never seen takes place upon Earth. Antichrist has taken charge and makes peace with Israel but, half way through the 7 years the Antichrist breaks the treaty and the last 3 and a half years are called the Great Tribulation.

At the ending of the Great Tribulation nations from all over the world will meet at a place called Armageddon.

This place is located where many Old Testament battles were fought. A location north of Jerusalem where a great battle like the world has never seen will take place.

The word “Armageddon” comes from a Hebrew word Har-Magedone, which means “Mount Megiddo” and has become a symbol of the future battle in which God will intervene and destroy the armies of the Antichrist as predicted in biblical prophecy. Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Satan's spirit will come upon the world leaders and cause them to come up against Israel (God's people)

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

We could only imagine the magnitude of such a war now. World War II was a war to end all wars with the atomic bomb that was dropped by the United States on Japan in 1945 but, with all the modern weapons of today plus the atomic bomb another world war as you could see today would be suicide for mankind.

There is a verse in the Old Testament book of Zechariah that says in chapter14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Think about that a moment....... I have always believed that Zechariah was prophesying about the atomic bomb so powerful that the flesh is burnt away from the body before the bones ever hit the ground. A powerful and frighten thought.

The world is focused on Israel in the last days and have been since prophesy was fulfilled in 1948 when it became a nation again. The spirit of Satan has entered into an already unbelieving, selfish and sinful heart of mankind in a rage of hate against God and the spirit of goodness. All armies of the Earth will be in place and fighting will began in Israel a place called Armageddon. It will be a war with much bloodshed because of hate.

Bible says in Revelation 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. In the battle, blood will run 4 feet deep or up to a horses bridle. "One thousand six hundred furlongs" (185 miles). That is the approximate distance from Armageddon in the North of Palestine to Edom in the South. The great battle will rage across that entire area and even slightly beyond. Bible says in Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

At this point, Jesus will return, destroy His enemies, and claim the world, which is rightfully His. This is the Second Coming. The Second Coming is not to be confused with the Rapture when Jesus comes for His own. Remember, at the Rapture we as believers will meet Christ in the air and be changed into our glorified body. At the Second Coming we will come with Him to rule and rein. Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
