I. Introduction

A. Why do you think we long for the great stories?

a. Why do we love to hear, see, or read the great stories?

b. Ecclesiastes tells us why.

c. Because God has planted eternity in our hearts.

d. We long for what we have lost, but I’ll get to that later.

B. Life is an epic adventure.

a. But we don’t always live as if that is so.

b. We make it a soap opera.

c. We try to make it about us.

d. Or we live the boring black and white version of the story because we never step out and take a risk for Jesus.

C. Every great story has a great ending.

a. And they all lived happily ever after.

b. Then end.

c. Amen.

D. This morning we’re going to look at the end of the story.

a. That’s the wonderful thing about God.

b. God tells us what’s going to happen at the end.

c. And if we can wrap our arms around that it will affect the way we live in the middle.
