Part 1
Intro: If you have been under attack lately get ready God is about to show you what the fight is all about.
The level of warfare over your life tells you what God is going to build in and through you.
Gideon was hiding in a cave: yet God was calling him “a mighty man of valor”
We are mightier than we think we are…
HIS WAY BY HIS TIME BY HIS DESIGN
1. You must realize who you are?
Sometimes in your life, you have a vision from God that makes absolutely no sense (human speaking)
You don’t see how it will ever come to pass…
Sometimes in our lives we receive a word from God that makes no sense.
Something you know could never happen without Him…
When it first came—something inside you will say, “I will” while everything else is saying, “I can’t”
**It will take you beyond your own competency and ability and make you realize that it’s “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit saith the Lord.” (Zech. 4:6)
Many are letting other people determine who they are…
You must quit asking people who they think you are!!!
Ask God:
He will tell you who you are…
If you are not born again…then He will tell you that you are in need of salvation…
If you are born again, then He will tell you that you are a Child of God…an heir with God…more than a conqueror, an over comer through Jesus Christ.
When God defines you, what difference does the opinion of others make?
1. God reveals what you’ve got
2. God anoints what you’ve got
3. God uses what you’ve got
When Gideon told God, “I don’t have what it takes!”
I am the poorest of all the tribes of Israel…
I am the least in my father’s house…
God said, “You are just what I am looking for!”
God wants to raise up people who can remember what they were when He found them.
People who can be channels used for His glory…
He doesn’t need anything you know…
He doesn’t need anything you have polished…
He doesn’t need anything you are proud of…
He still uses the “foolish things” (1 Cor. 1:27)
2. You must realize God’s Strategy
For every battle, God has a strategy…
Quit focusing on the problem and start praying for the strategy…
The vision will always be greater than the one who is called to fulfill it.
Ex. Abraham a father of nations
Joseph a provider for a nation
Psalm 127:1 “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it”
He knows the plans best for you…
He knows the weight load you can handle…
He knows the materials required…
He knows how it will fit together in your life…
He might have been speaking to you already…
He might have been revealing His plan to you, but you have been afraid to act on it!!!
Don’t get discouraged, the God who landscaped the Earth has already designed every detail of your future.
Just step out, trust him and follow Him…
He told Gideon, “Surely I will be with thee.” (Judges 6:16)
“He is saying the same thing to you today!!!!”
Everything is Father Filtered Part 2
Gideon had 32,000 men show up ready to fight off the Midians.
What a great revival that would be….
But God tells him that the men you have with you are too many…
1. Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early.
22,000 men left….only 10,000 remained…
2. Bring them to the water and I will try them for thee there…
Everyone that lappeth the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth shalt thou set by himself.
Everyone that boweth down upon the knees to drink set by himself.
And the number of them that lapped, putting their hands to their mouth, were three hundred.
300 men is all that Gideon had left to fight with…against the host of Midian.
Then God sent Gideon down to the enemy camp to hear what they were saying…to encourage him.
When he arrived, one midianite was telling another about his dream…
“A cake of barely bread tumbled into the host of Midian and came into a tent, and smote it, that it fell and overturned it, that the tent lay along” and the fellow answered; “This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.”
When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, the bible says
“He worshipped”
Are you worshipping lately?
