THE FAITH OF THE THESSALONIANS
TEXT - I Thess. 1: 1 - 8

Faith is a necessity to daily Christian living -
I. FAITH WORKS - I Thess. 1:3
Hebrews 11 shows us example of faith works.
Abraham went out...
Walls of Jericho fell...
II. FAITH IS TO BE SHARED - I Thess. 1:8
III. FAITH NEEDS TO BE STRENGTHENED - I Thess. 3:2.5
The world, the flesh, and the devil continually
test our faith. We are really still weak even when we
are at our strongest.
IV. FAITH NEEDS TO BE EXAMINED - I Thess. 3:5
In Matt.7 there were some who thought they had faith and
didn’t. They had works without saving faith.
V. FAITH BRINGS BLESSING - I Thess. 3:5-6
Our faith can help and encourage others.
Faith believes the promises and makes them effectual -
VI. FAITH HAS ITS LACKS - I Thess. 3:10
We all have areas in our lives that need to be worked
on and improved. Many of us have believed God for
salvation but cannot seem to believe god for protection,
guidance, help, etc....
VII. FAITH IS A GREAT SPIRITUAL WEAPON - I Thess. 5:8
We need faith for the battles of life.
Eph. 6 - the shield of faith
The sword was the offensive weapon and the shield was
the defensive weapon.
VIII. FAITH NEEDS TO GROW - II Thess. 1:3
From faith to faith = from one level to another
Trusting God for little things today help us to trust
god for big things tomorrow.
IX. FAITH WILL BRING YOU THROUGH THE TROUBLES OF LIFE -
II Thess. 1:4
You can endure!
FINALLY -- THE LORD IS FAITHFUL - II Thess. 3:3
You can fully trust Him.
Faithful = Faith full. All that faith offers, God has the
the fullest extent.
