VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Faithful in the least - also faithful in much

"He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much,"

Faithful or "pistos" in Greek which means: trustworthy, trustful, sure, true.

The word used here is close to the Greek word of "faith" or "pistis", meaning if you're an unbeliever you are not faithful.

Luke 16:11-12 (Amplified Bible)

16:11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the [case of] unrighteous mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions), who will entrust to you the true riches?

16:12 And if you have not proved faithful in that which belongs to another [whether God or man], who will give you that which is your own [that is, the true riches]?

Faithfulness in tithes and offering.

Malachi 3:10 (Amplified Bible)

3:10 Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Illustration: I knew a so-called CHRISTian employer who hired unbelievers and gave priority to unbelievers over believers but he never brought them to church. Unbelievers are unfaithful and not trustworthy. I thought at first that is his strategy to win souls but it's not. Later, I knew that this so-called CHRISTian employer is doing things that even a believer will not do in his business audit. He can command his unbelieving accountant to do "magic" on his books, since this is unbeliever accountant he does it without questions.

Least or "elachistos" in Greek which means:

1. least in size, amount, dignity

2. very little, smallest

We don't have money in heaven, because it's not needed there. Riches or money are only needed here on earth to purchase corruptible things, things that will never last to eternity. If you're not true in handling these temporary money/earthly money then you will never be faithful in the heaven where money is not needed.

Much or "polus polos" in Greek which means:

1. many, largely, often, mostly, largely

2. great, plentous.

Luke 19:17 (Amplified Bible)

19:17 And he said to him, Well done, excellent bond servant! Because you have been faithful and trustworthy in a very little [thing], you shall have authority over ten cities.

Matthew 25:21 (Amplified Bible)

25:21 His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys.

Hebrews 3:2 (Amplified Bible)

3:2 [See how] faithful He was to Him Who appointed Him [Apostle and High Priest], as Moses was also faithful in the whole house [of God].

Faithfulness has it's rewards, that's why we don't use our own faithfulness in serving GOD because we know it will fail miserably, but we rely and depend on GOD's Faithfulness to us/in us and we use that same Faithfulness to serve GOD.

1 Thessalonians 5:24 (Amplified Bible)

5:24 Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].

2 Timothy 2:13 (Amplified Bible)

2:13 If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.
