False Leaders

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: Paul, the Apostle

B. Contents: Paul's Ministry and Passion

C. Main Theme: Vindication of Paul's Apostleship

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Qualities of False Leaders:

1. You put up with them. (Luke 20:46)

Their attitude and character are different from what they say. You put up with them because you are surprised by the way they act, as if they don't have "Christ in their hearts."

Luke 20:46 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“Beware of these teachers of religious law! For they like to parade around in flowing robes and love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces. And how they love the seats of honor in the synagogues and the head table at banquets.

2. They make you their slaves.

They masquerade in the words "learn to submit" well submission is to GOD not to men. If you won't fit to their small group, obeying and submitting to their desires and not to GOD's desires, you get disciplinary action which is mostly instituted by men's laws and traditions and not by GOD. When you don't approve of their church traditions they will say it's their culture, it's what the church is, before you even became a human being in this world. Believer me such church does exist.

Matthew 15:3 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Jesus replied, “And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?

Acts 20:30 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Even some men from your own group will rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following.

Acts 23:12 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The next morning a group of Jews got together and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

Galatians 1:1 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead.

1 Samuel 15:22 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

1 Corinthians 6:12 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

3. They take everything you have.

The center of their lives is themselves and not CHRIST. They take captive of your emotions, saying broken spirit is the way to anointing. Well, let me tell you, GOD's anointing has nothing to do with what you can do on your part, but it rests of GOD alone.

Philippians 2:4-5 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Luke 4:18 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

it's GOD choice who to anoint and who not to anoint. It rests on His Spirit, His attribute, and not on someone else's ability to "cry" and fell sorry as if they were broken and holy, but in fact covered with procrastinating spirit and hypocrisy.

4. They take advantage of you.

These people are thick face and takes advantage of you as if they own you.

The Greek says, 'takes (you),' that is, captures of ensnares you, as a huntsman takes his prey.

Mark 12:40 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Yet they shamelessly cheat widows out of their property and then pretend to be pious by making long prayers in public. Because of this, they will be more severely punished.”

5. They take control of everything

They are controlled by sin themselves, and they want you to be controlled and slave of sins and enjoy your destruction.

2 Peter 2:19 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)
