Isaiah 43:1-13 Fear Not

1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. I. A REBELLION 1 But now

42:24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

II. A REJECTION 25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

III. A REVELATION Of :-

A. God's Control 1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel,

B. God's Care 1 Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,

C. God's Call - I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

IV. A REDEMPTION - A. The Person of redemption— I have redeemed thee

Mark 2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? .......10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) 11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

B. The Price of redemption 1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot

C. The Pardon of redemption

1. Salvation is Free Rom 6:23 the gift of God is eternal life

2. Salvation is Full—Blood of Christ cleanses from all sin.

3. Salvation is Final— When I see the blood, I will pass over you.

D. The Power of redemption Reassurance in it: Israel is not to fear;

Reason for it: Israel is precious and loved by God.

Ransom for it: Egypt died (in judgment) so Israel could return Regathering in it: 6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

Reporting of it: 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD,

Remission in it: 25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins V. A REUNION - I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

A. His Purchasing us—Eph. 5:25—

"Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it."

B. Perfecting us 26 "That he might sanctify and cleanse it."

C. Presenting us 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church

D. Possessing us 28 "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh." - "This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning the church."

E. Protecting us 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:
