Fellowship With Jesus Christ

Summary: We must have apersonal fellowship with Christ.
FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
2. 1 John 1:3
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
3. 1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
4. 1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1. With Christ
1stCor.1: 9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
2. The importance of it
Acts 2: 19And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
3. Gratitude
Phil.1: 2Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
4. In Christ suffering
Phil.3: 9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

5. A consistent walk
1st John 1: 5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

2nd Cor.6: 14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
