With a view to this we toil and strive, [yes and] suffer reproach, because we have [fixed our] hope on the living God, Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men, especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him).

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Our hope is in the Living GOD

"because we have [fixed our] hope on the living God,"

Joshua 3:10 (Amplified Bible)

Joshua said, Hereby you shall know that the living God is among you and that He will surely drive out from before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites.

Psalms 42:2 (Amplified Bible)

My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?

Psalms 84:2 (Amplified Bible)

My soul yearns, yes, even pines and is homesick for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out and sing for joy to the living God.

Our Only Hope is the Living GOD that is our LORD JESUS CHRIST and in no humans we put our hope, or we don't put our hope in ourselves.

B. The LORD is the Savior of all men

"Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men,"

Psalms 27:1 (Amplified Bible)

[A Psalm] of David. THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalms 37:39 (Amplified Bible)

But the salvation of the [consistently] righteous is of the Lord; He is their Refuge and secure Stronghold in the time of trouble.

Zephaniah 3:17 (Amplified Bible)

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST have already saved all men but to make it effective in our lives, we have to accept the LORD JESUS CHRIST as our LORD, MASTER and SAVIOR. All our LORD was waiting is for us to accept the Truth and our response is to be one with CHRIST.

C. Especially to us who believed

"especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him)"

Galatians 6:10 (Amplified Bible)

So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].

2 Corinthians 1:12 (Amplified Bible)

It is a reason for pride and exultation to which our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world [generally] and especially toward you, with devout and pure motives and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God (the unmerited favor and merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, and keeps, strengthens, and increases them in Christian virtues).

Matthew 13:11 (Amplified Bible)

And He replied to them, To you it has been given to know the secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Romans 5:2 (Amplified Bible)

Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.
