Summary: Who is God and what is He to you?

Fully Persuaded

Matthew 16:13-18, 19

Romans 14:5b. "...let every man (spirit being) be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Expound on Matthew 16:13-18

- what’s the word on the street about Me?

- what do you say about Me?

- The revelation Peter had must be ours. Peter was open to change and truth. Because of this God was able to speak to his heart and reveal secret truths that would not only affect his life, but also the lives of others he came in contact with.

Upon this rock - revelation, I’ll build My church (ekklasia) and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Jesus’ priority in coming to the world was to reveal Himself,to teach and to demonstrate who He was...(the door, the way, the truth, the light, the life, the only way to the Father)

Romans 14:5b

Expound: Paul was making a case on eating certain foods with others who did not eat that particular food. Food is not the issue in this message. The issue here is being totally convinced that God is.

- Paul is speaking of the kingdom.

- What is the kingdom? "...righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost." (in Him/Him in you)

Persuaded- (webster’s) - convinced, having an opinion held with complete assurance.

People are not only saved by the blood of the Lamb, but also by the word of our testimony, and we don’t have testimonies unless we are fully persuaded and/or convinced in the matter.

What is your testimony about God or concerning God?

Romans 14:18-19 - acceptable to God ... Let us follow after ... Edifying others

When we become acceptable to God, we get the keys to the kingdom! Matthew 16:19

What do you believe? When life becomes difficult, our beliefs are made visible by what and whom we put our trust in. If we really and truly love the Lord, we will manifest the fruits of love, joy, peace, long suffering ... Galatians 5:22-23.

These attitudes reveal not only security in , but also relationship with the Lord as we seek His wisdom and strength to move forward in Him.

We grow in maturity through practice, training and following the examples laid out for us in scripture.

When we do that, we can truly say to others, follow me as I follow Christ!

I am fully persuaded, fully convinced, fully committed to Him.
