Summary: What a price we pay for fun.

GAS COST BUT SIN COST MORE

Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1. Hope is given in exchange for sin.

There is no second name to be found under heaven among men whereby we may be saved.

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Paul said they had no hope

Without God none of the world has hope.

2. Abiding and satisfying joys are given in exchange for pleasure.

1st Tim: 5: 6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Feeding on ashes is not very satisfying.

Those who live in pleasure are dead while they live.

3. Money and its best will be with the followers of Christ

Revenues of the wicked are trouble.

Proverbs 15: 6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.

Matt:6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Things we have are worth while

God will add to them

God will supply our needs.

4. Purpose in life should never be bartered at any price.

The person who has made the future secure can say as Paul

Phil:3: 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Looking for the prize

Looking for the mark

This one thing I know.

5. Love for Christian people and Christ is a sign

If your love is destitute your on the wrong road.

You may be on the broad road

This road leads to destruction

Self seeking is evidence of sin in the heart

The apostle says John3;16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He lay down his life for us

We need to lay ours down for him

John 4: 7There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

8(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
