Summary: The plans of God when followed always ends in glory, joy and honour

May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Topic: GOD ALWAYS HAS A PLAN

Acts 23:1-11 King James Version (KJV)

23 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.

3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?

4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest?

5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

7 And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.

8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

9 And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.

10 And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.

11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

Beloved, I don't know the challenge you are facing nor the challenge ahead of you but what I know is that, before all the challenges and trials started God had a plan for you and all that is happening.

God's plans are perfect and without blemish. His plans always leads us to a promised destination where there is victory awaiting us.

Beloved, when you begin to read from chapter 22 of the Book of Acts to chapter 23 where we have our text for today, you will find Gods will for Paul in all these challenges he faced, from Agabus' prophecy to his decision to go to Jerusalem, no what the challenges are.

The Lord strengthened Paul in the last verse of our text, by visiting him, to assure him that, it is well and victory had already been won.

Beloved, I don't know what you are going through, but God has a plan for you and if you will be faithful with Him, he shall strengthen you and carry you through all the challenges to the final destination He has planned for you.

Paul went through all that he went through, so that through His testimony we may be strengthened and be fired up to continue with the plan of God, knowing the end shall surely be victorious.

Jesus went through to the end, and we all know the joy, honour and glory given Him by the Father. Paul also went through same, knowing the joy, honour and glory He shall receive.

Beloved, as children of God, I will say, we have no option but to go through with the plan of God for an expected end, an end at the destination He has set for us, an end of joy, honour and glory in the name of Jesus Christ.

Beloved our God said in Jeremiah 29:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else, just as Jesus listened to His Father and His end was exactly as God Almighty planned it, we as junior brothers and sisters of Jesus are to listen to our Father in heaven and follow through with His plans for the joyous end He has planned for us.

Prayer: Father please strengthen me to go on with your plan despite all the challenges in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
