Psalms 86:5

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plentious in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

II Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promises, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Hebrews 7:25

wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

The message of the gospel is a dintinctive message; it is a clear cut message. there are no ifs and buts about it for it says what it means and it means what it says.

I. THE LORD IS READY

Psalms 86:5

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plentious in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

God is good at giving, we know and accept that.

Somebody that God gave another chance say "Amen".

Somebody that God gave another job say "Amen".

Somebody that God gave back their life say Amen.

Somebody that God gave a friend say "Amen".

Somebody that God gave a good church family say "Amen".

Somebody that God gave a way out of no way out say "Amen".

Somebody that God recently gave you a Blessing say "Amen".

But this morning I want to share with you that not only is he good at giving, he is also good at forgiving.

Liar........isn’t the Lord forgiving.

Gossip .....isn’t God forgiving

Backbiter....isn’t God forgiving

Thief........Isn’t God forgiving.

Husband Stealer......Isn’t God forgiving

Woman Chaser.........Isn’t God forgiving.

Alcoholic & Dope pusher.....Isn’t God forgiving

Tax Evader...............Isn’t God forgiving

Curfew breakers..............Isn’t God good.

Because God knows all things perfectly, He knows no thing better than any other thing, but all things equally well.

He never discover’s anything or anyone. He is never surprised, never

amazed.

The Lord is already ready. You cannot surprise God.

a. Getting ready for church

b. Getting ready for a date

"He does not sleep nor slumber.

I heard about a man who wanted to join one of those lonely hearts clubs. He sent them his photograph and they sent back a note that said, "We are not that lonely".

II. THE LORD IS WILLING

Early one morning fire broke out in a house on a narrow street. The alarm was sounded by a policeman on duty. Before the fire engines could get to the scene, However, flames were leaping high into the air. Suddenly a young man appeared at an upper window

in his pajamas.

Firemen quickly placed a ladder against the burning building. But to the consternation of all, he refused to come down, shouting back that he had to get dressed first. The firemen pleaded, "come as you are! Come as you are!" but to no avail. From below they tried to climb the stairs, but were turned back as the wind fanned the flames into fury. When a rescuer tried to enter through a window, the heat and smoke forced him away. Suddenly the stairs gave way and the roof fell in. the man had waited too long and was buried beneath the

ruins.

"COME AS YOU ARE"

Some of us are waiting ..................on the right time

Some of us are waiting...................on maturity to set in.

Some of us are waiting.............till we get all our play out.

"It took a miracle to put the stars in place,

It took a miracle to hang the world in space,

But when God saved my soul,

Cleansed and made me whole,

It took a miracle of love and grace.

He came down from the adoration’s of heaven to the abominations of earth.

He came down from the coronations of heaven to the condemnation of earth.

He came down from the delights of heaven to the defamation of earth.

He came fro the glory place to the gory place.

He came down from the hallelujahs of heaven to the hisses of earth.

He came down from the songs of heaven to the wrongs of earth.

III. THE LORD IS ABLE

"We are not saved by race but by grace

"We are not saved by generations but by regeneration.

We are not saved by chromosomes but by Calvary

We are not saved by genes but by Jesus.

Longfellow could take a worthless piece of paper, write a poem on it, and instantly make it worth thousands of dollars--and it’s called genius.

Rockefeller could sign his name to a piece of paper and make it worth millions of dollars--and it’s called riches.

An artist can take a fifty-cent piece of canvas, paint a picture on it, and make it worth thousands of dollars--and it’s called art.
