Summary: The best gifts in life are for the asking, but they cost God his Son to give them to you.

GOD IS STILL GIVING GIFTS TODAY

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave:

Eyes to Bartamais

Healing to the lady with the issue of blood

Food to the hungry

Deliverance to the Gaderian

Hearing to the deaf

Life back to the dead

Salvation to Zachious, the woman at the well, the woman caught in adultery, Nicodemas

Complete wholeness to the maimed

Speech to the dumb

We have a terrible problem trying to buy gifts for family members because we don’t know what they would like or need, but Jesus knows what you need and desire and it’s not in a box wrapped with a pretty bow, but right here in these altars.

Jesus has never made a mistake in giving the wrong gift to someone. You will never have to take it back. It will never be the wrong size or color. It will always be exactly what you need.

How many times this year have you wished that you had a greater desire to serve God or had a better prayer life or greater desire to fellowship with Him in His Word?

How often have you wished that you had the boldness to proclaim Him among friends and strangers?

Do you desire:

A tender heart?

A more tender relationship with your spouse?

A more loving relationship with your children?

That God would heal a relationship with a friend?

That you could hear the voice of God again?

That God would fill you with His Holy Spirit?

That God would heal your body or a broken heart?

That God would heal your giver and give you a heart to give?

That God would help you stop giving in too temptation?

That God would give you total victory over bondage in your life?

That God would take away the anger and fill your heart with love?

You may not see them but the altars filled with gifts this morning, and I’d dare say that at least one of them has your name on it.

We generally don’t want anyone to buy expensive gifts for us but the gifts He is offering today are very expensive paid for with His life. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

1 Cor 12:31

31 But covet earnestly the best gifts:

1 Cor 14:1

14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts,

Prov 10:22

22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
