God Needs A Vessel? The Value Of A Box?

What is in your box?

I have two PIZZA BOXES.

One is empty, the other has a large pizza in it...

My point will develop: Hungry people want more than an empty box.

Yet we need the empty box to accomplish our purpose.

I. DESIGNED FOR A PURPOSE...

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you,

and that your joy might be full.

A. come let us ponder the designer's plan for:

1. A HUMMER, JEEP?

2. A CORVETTE?

3. A F-15 FIGHTER JET?

4. NASA SPACE SHUTTLE?

B. WHAT DOES THE MASTER DESIGNER HAVE IN MIND WHEN HE CREATED

YOU?

John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive,

that your joy may be full.

II. THERE FLOWS FROM THE ALTAR A RIVER...

EZEKIEL 47 RECORDS FROM THE ALTAR TO THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE TEMPLE

FLOWS A RIVER...

1. THE WATER AS IT FLOWS FROM THE TEMPLE WAS ANKLE DEEP... 1,000 CUBITS...

2. The water gets WAIST DEEP... 1,000 CUBITS

3. THE WATER WAS SWIMMING WATER --- Helping me I am drowning in the LOVE OF GOD...

III. THERE COMES FROM GOD A DOUBLE PORTION...

ELISHA ASK GOD, I'LL TALKE A DOUBLE PORTION...

A. ACCORDING UNTO YOUR FAITH...

Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

B. YOU DETERMINE THE SIZE OF YOUR MIRACLE?

2 Kings 4:3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even

empty vessels; borrow not a few.

IV. DRINKING FROM MY SAUCER BECAUSE MY CUP OVER RUNS...

I AM BLESSED...

Psalm 23:5 (KJV) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psalm 23:5 (NLT) You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me

by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.

V. LEARN THAT CIRCUMSTANCES, FEELINGS, EMOTIONS, OTHER PEOPLE

CAN NEVER DICTATE THE MOVE OF GOD...

Philippians 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and

in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

THERE IS A GREAT LESSON IN A PIZZA BOX...

1. YOU ORDER A PIZZA AND GIVE YOUR ADDRESS FOR DELIVER...

2. The Pizza man pulls up in a dirty car? He is dirty? His hands are dirty?

He throws the pizza in your front door?

3. Never: HE DELIVERS THE PIZZA IN A VESSEL: A PIZZA BOX...

THE BOX AVERAGE COST IN BULK IS ABOUT 39 TO 45 CENTS...

4. THE VALUE OF THE PRODUCE IS NOT IN THE BOX, THE VALUE IS THE

PIZZA INSIDE THE BOX...

5. A CLEAN EMPTY BOX IS WORTH SO LITTLE...

CONCLUSION: HOW MUCH GOD IN YOUR BOX WILL DETERMINE YOUR VALUE...

INVITE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO COME INTO YOUR BOX...

BE MORE THAN A EATER... BE A FEEDER...

WILL YOU BE A VESSEL FOR GOD...

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
