VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. GOD ran to meet us, the prodigal son

1. The FATHER GOD saw us

2. The FATHER GOD was moved with pity

3. The FATHER GOD was moved with tenderness

"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity and tenderness [for him];"

Ephesians 2:13 (Amplified Bible)

But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were [so] far away, through (by, in) the blood of Christ have been brought near.

Acts 2:39 (Amplified Bible)

For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself.

Isaiah 57:19 (Amplified Bible)

Peace, peace, to him who is far off [both Jew and Gentile] and to him who is near! says the Lord; I create the fruit of his lips, and I will heal him [make his lips blossom anew with speech in thankful praise].

Joel 2:32 (Amplified Bible)

And whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered and saved, for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the remnant [of survivors] shall be those whom the Lord calls.

The FATHER GOD saw us even while we're still sinners, a long way off to repentance. We were all created by GOD and we stayed very far from His Love, that's when GOD sent His Own Son - the LORD JESUS CHRIST to die in our place to win us back again to Him.

Romans 5:8 (Amplified Bible)

But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.

B. GOD embraced and kissed us

"and he ran and embraced him and kissed him [fervently]"

Embracing and kissing is a sign of deep love.

Example:

Joseph and Israel (Jacob)

Genesis 48:10 (Amplified Bible)

Now Israel’s eyes were dim from age, so that he could not see. And Joseph brought them near to him, and he kissed and embraced them.

Joseph and Benjamin

Genesis 45:14 (Amplified Bible)

And he fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.

Paul and the Corinthian church:

Acts 20:37 (Amplified Bible)

And they all wept freely and threw their arms around Paul’s neck and kissed him fervently and repeatedly,

Kisses and embraces are all CHRISTian way of greeting and showing love.

1 Thessalonians 5:26 (Amplified Bible)

Greet all the brethren with a sacred kiss.

2 Corinthians 13:12 (Amplified Bible)

Greet one another with a consecrated kiss.

1 Peter 5:14 (Amplified Bible)

Salute one another with a kiss of love [the symbol of mutual affection]. To all of you that are in Christ Jesus (the Messiah), may there be peace (every kind of peace and blessing, especially peace with God, and reedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts). Amen (so be it).

But this world have corrupted kisses and embrace.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are moved with pity, and tenderness for me and You embraced and kissed me.
