VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. GOD is our Shield (Protection)

"AFTER THESE things, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I am your Shield,"

1. GOD spoke to Abraham in a vision, the Word of GOD is our sure guarantee, since GOD's Word have not been revealed to man, speaking in a vision is GOD's way of reaching to Abraham. Now we have His completed Word to do that, but if you have a vision, let GOD's Word validate and confirm it.

Psalms 19:9 (Amplified Bible)

The [reverent] fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

We can only receive from GOD by our faith thus pleasing GOD everytime we received from Him.

Hebrews 11:1 (New International Version)

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:6 (New International Version)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is our guarantee.

Hebrews 7:22 (Amplified Bible)

In keeping with [the oath’s greater strength and force], Jesus has become the Guarantee of a better (stronger) agreement [a more excellent and more advantageous covenant].

The HOLY SPIRIT is our guarantee as well.

2 Corinthians 1:22 (Amplified Bible)

[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise].

GOD will protect us.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 (Amplified Bible)

Yet the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] and set you on a firm foundation and guard you from the evil [one].

Deuteronomy 23:14 (Amplified Bible)

For the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you. Therefore shall your camp be holy, that He may see nothing indecent among you and turn away from you.

B. GOD is our Exceedingly Great Reward

"your abundant compensation, and your reward shall be exceedingly great."

1. Perfect Love removes fear.

1 John 4:18 (Amplified Bible)

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

2. If you're GOD's glorifier, then respect GOD by fully obeying and trusting Him not ourselves.

Revelation 14:7 (Amplified Bible)

And he cried with a mighty voice, Revere God and give Him glory (honor and praise in worship), for the hour of His judgment has arrived. Fall down before Him; pay Him homage and adoration and worship Him Who created heaven and earth, the sea and the springs (fountains) of water.

3. GOD will reward us, it's His Presence for us, that's the Exceedingly Great Reward.

1 Corinthians 3:14 (Amplified Bible)

If the work which any person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever] survives [this test], he will get his reward.

Revelation 22:12 (Amplified Bible)

Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.

Isaiah 40:10 (Amplified Bible)

Behold, the Lord God will come with might, and His arm will rule for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.

Jeremiah 17:10 (Amplified Bible)

I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
