Summary: How do I tap into the giving heart of God? Read this sermon and disover the secret.

HIS GIVING HEART

So large is God’s heart that He has a place for every one of His children their lifestyle and level of relationship notwithstanding. Even sinners have a place in God’s heart. This is why God can easily forgive sinners when they come to Him in repentance.

And God is so vast in resources that He can accommodate all the requests of His children no matter what. God can never run out of provision. Whatever your need might be, He has more than enough to supply it. One of His accolades is Jehovah El-Shaddai which means the inexhaustible God, the God that is more than enough. Honestly speaking, God always has more than is required.

Whatever may be the request of every man, God can do much more than it. He is always a step ahead. He is a step ahead of your need. He is a step ahead of your problems. He’s a step ahead of your challenges.

One of the virtues of God that has been revealed right from the beginning is His giving heart. Right from the very beginning, God introduced Himself to us as the giver. He spent time to create everything and then gave them into the hands of man. Read Genesis Chapters one and two. And ever since then He has not stopped giving. He gave so much that He gave His very life in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. He gave us His all so that we may have all things in life.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

2Peter 1:3

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,

HE IS JEHOVAH EL-SHADDAI

One of His names is JEHOVAH EL-SHADDAI. It has four meanings:

1. God Almighty

2. The All sufficient One; He has and will do all we need

3. The inexhaustible God.

4. The breasted One; a Mother Who nurtures her children

As the Almighty, He can reverse nature. And this is why God is not nature as some people say. God created nature and so has power over it. He can reverse gravity – He did it when the axe head swam from the bottom of the river to the top and remained floating during the days of Elisha the prophet.

He can make the sun stand still and not go down when its time to do so comes – He did it in the days of Joshua. There is nothing in life that El-Shaddai does not have power over. So, whatever is the challenge of your life, leave it in the hand of the Al-Sufficient One. He will handle it for you.

May be you don’t know, he can create babies in your dead womb. He can heal your incurable diseases. This God can give victory to you over the battles of life. Oh, He can crush all your enemies and bury them all in one day!

His breast never runs dry of milk. He always has to give. No wonder the first time He revealed Himself to man He did that as El-Shaddai. What is it that God does not have to give?

He gave us light so that we would not grope in darkness. Without light, we would have been left with darkness as the only choice. And where there is darkness, evil vices are not wanting. The devil rejoices at darkness because it enhances his operation. Darkness is a representative of everything bad.

Without the light of God, man would have continued in a vicious cycle of evil; death would have been a common thing with man. But thanks be to God, for throwing His light upon the darkness brought upon the earth by the devil.

Luke 1:78-79

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

He gave us food so that we would not die of hunger; not just physical food but also the spiritual food. While the physical food builds up our physical bodies, spiritual food builds up our spiritual muscles. We develop both vertically and horizontally.

Psalm 136:25

Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Acts 14:17

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

As far as God is concerned, there is nothing you need as a man that He has not provided for. Whether He will give it is another thing altogether. I said this because God does not always give all things to all people. That you ask Him for a thing and you did not get it does not mean that He does not have it with Him. It could mean that you are not qualified to have it.
