GOD’S INDESCRIBABLE GIFT

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift."

II Corinthians 9:15.

How do you describe that which is indescribable? Admittedly, any attempt will fall far short of a comprehensive portrayal. Yet we will be blessed by merely “touching the hem of this garment”!

I. A PROMISED GIFT:

"Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14.

II. A PRICELESS GIFT:

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6.

III. A PERSONAL GIFT:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

"By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him." I John 4:9.

IV. A PERFECT GIFT:

“And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.” Hebrews 5:9.

V. A PRECIOUS GIFT:

"Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture: Behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious." I Peter 2:6-7.
