Summary: When we look at the first 3 verses of the Bible we see how God created everything that we now see. If you look at verses 2 & 3 God's plan for salavtion is revealed.

• Scripture- John 1:1-5 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

• Deity Of Christ- who Jesus is

• He is the word of God.

John 1:14 (KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

• Christ is eternal. Alpha and Omega, beginning & end.

• Christ created all things by speaking.

Psalms 33:6 & 9 (KJV) By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

• He’s the same yesterday, today, & tomorrow.

• In him is life, he came to offer life.

• In him is light, he came to offer light.

• Creation

Genesis 1:1-3 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

• The earth was missing something, a lot like us. Without form, void, & in darkness.

• The earth wasn’t complete, then the spirit of God moved.

• The Holy Spirit\ Conviction

John 1:32 (KJV) … I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove…

John 3:8 (KJV) The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Acts 2:2 (KJV) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind…

• Holy spirit moved upon the face of the water. It was stirring.

• Can’t be saved on your own time or will.

John 6:44 (KJV) No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

• Holy spirit began to move & God said let there be light.

John 1:5- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

• We are in darkness.

• Darkness

Matthew 6:23 (KJV) …If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

• Come to the one that offers light.

• *Rejection

• If you’ve made up your mind that you don’t want Christ, but you want to enjoy the pleasures of the world. LIVE IT UP! THERE IS NO PLEASURES IN HELL.

• Why you’re in darkness

2 Corinthians 4:3-6 (KJV) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

• Satan wants to keep you blinded from Christ.

• He wants to keep you lost, & apart from God.

• God Commanded the light to shine!

• 1) Earth was empty, not yet whole

• 2) It was in darkness

• 3) The Holy Spirit began to move

• 4) There was light.

• Allow the light to shine in your heart & receive Christ.

• Light vs. Darkness

• Sin has no fellowship with God.

• If we say we have no sin we receive ourselves. (That’s being blinded by Satan)

• If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness we lie and do not the truth.

• How do we do the truth?

John 3:21 (KJV) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
