Summary: We must never forget the Incredible Love that Our God Offers

God’s unchanging love

John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Of all the many familiar passages of Scripture from which I might bring you a message this wonderful verse is perhaps the most familiar and the most personal of any.

And the story of this great verse is a personal interest and value to every person here in this building.

This text tells us of God’s greatest gifts:

The gift of His Son

The gift of His Love!

This verse of Scripture tells us:

1. That God does in fact love us, and..

2. That His love cost him His only Son that anyone may receive God’s gift!

think of it! God so loved the world, you and me.

I’m sure there is no one in this building myself included who does not need and perhaps often longs for someone to love him.

And it may have been a long time since someone told you that They love you. Or expressed any personal concern or interest in your life or your soul.

My dear friend, I am here to tell you of someone who loves you with an everlasting love.

And that someone is God!

We all remember when the thought that our God was dead began to surface in our Nation. I come to you to refute the theology position that God is dead!

In fact I will state here and now and without reservation that the Lord God of heaven is very much alive.

And the living God this very hour is personally and intimately interested in you and in all of your problems.

This living God, is interested in all of your needs.

God is alive and loves you and His love is infinite, eternal, and unchanging.

What a wonderful story!

This great theme of divine love runs like a golden thread throughout Scripture.

Our text for God so loved the world!

1st John 4:9-10- in this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.

Herein is love not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth, showed or expressed his love toward us ( in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us

Think of it!! God’s son dying for you and me!

Why did God manifests such love for us?

I will tell you why!

Because we were all lost in sin and destined to a Devils hell!

The Bible says

Psalms 51: 5 Behold I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Romans 6:23-The wages of sin is death

Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed unto man once to die but after this, the judgment.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the son of God hath everlasting life and he that believes not on the son shall not see life but the wrath of God abides in him.

So according to the Bible–

Man is lost, and at enmity with God and already under the penalty of sin and death–awaiting the judgment and wrath of a holy God.

Born a sinner! destined to hell! This is why God loved us so!!

He wanted to save us or rescue us from sin and death.

I trust you may recognize for the 1st time that you are in fact a sinner away from God and you would like to be saved.

But how may I be converted –

How may I escape hell and gain heaven?

Let me tell you what the Bible says!

I would be very very foolish to tell you what I think about the matter or suggest how I think you can miss hell and get to heaven. Listen to God’s word.

The Bible says–there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end there is the way of death.

But Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me!

How can you be saved?

Confess–Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the word Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Believe- acts 16:31 Believe on the lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

Call–Romans 10:13 Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Receive–John 1:12 But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on his name.

When can you be saved? Right Now–

Now 2 Corinthians 6:2- Behold now is the accepted time behold now is the day of salvation.
