VI. Your Personal Window

Is it the closed part of your house? Do you consider it only as a location for observing beyond your place of comfort and protection?

Beware of Isolationism

Looking from the inside out, we sometimes fail to realize how good we really have it.

IL.: The House with the Golden Windows

A young man sat in the second story bedroom looking out the window to a neighborhood across the hills. Time after time he saw the same thing; a house with shining gold windows. How he longed to get a closer look and even began to covet that beautiful house with such shiny golden windows. One day, he finished work early and decided to go visit this place personally. He walked around for some time, not finding exactly the place he was looking for. At long last, he spied a young lady in her front yard and dared to ask her, "Miss, I am looking for the house with the golden windows, surely you know about it." The young lady looked at the man and replied, "sir, there is nothing like that in this neighborhood, but if you look way over yonder on that hill over there, it seems that the windows sparkle with gold". The man realized immediately, that she was pointing out to him, his own house. Quickly, he thanked her and said, "I have no business here, I must return to where the windows truly are as good as gold."

John 4:35

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes (take a good, hard look out the window), and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
