Have You Lost Your Savor

Summary: Christ called Christians the salt of the earth, even though Christians shall be treated with contempt they still become blessings to the world.
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.”
Salt = sodium chlorine. Purpose to enrich, to preserve.
Salt plays an important part in the Old Testament. In Leviticus 2:13 it tells us:
Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.
All animal sacrifices were required to be season with salt. Salt was used in the Old Testament Covenant.
To The Hebrews Salt Was Important.
1. The Hebrews used salt very religiously against the elements of the heat as an antidote.
2. Used to enrich the taste of food.
3. Used to preserve foods.

You may think it may seem fruitless and there was no hope, however a hand full of salt can savor a great deal, so a Christian can savor a great deal.
A Christian can effect a great number with their witness.
As Christians We Are As Important As Salt.
1. The Hebrews used salt very religiously against the elements of the heat as an antidote.
2. Used to enrich the taste of food.
3. Used to preserve foods.
2 Cor. 2:14-16
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
[15] For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
[16] To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
