Summary: A few wrong choices and we can make a big mess. Our messes can't stop God's miracles if we will come to Him and trust his plan.

HAVE YOU MADE A MESS OF YOUR LIFE? GOD CAN GIVE ANOTHER CHANCE?

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com

HEZEKIAH: Hezekiah was a king of Judah. He was 25 when he started, he ruled 29 years. So he was around 54 when he died.

NOT ENOUGH? JUST A MESS. HEZEKIAH SEEMED TO MESS UP EVERYTHING HE TOUCHED.

HEZEKIAH had a powerful enemy named SENNACHERIB and the nation of Syria.

Sennacherib required money and gifts from Hezekiah. 2 Kings 18… So his enemy required 300 talents of silver and 30 talents of gold. This was more than HEZEKIAH had. Hezekiah never prayed for the Lord to help. He ran to the church and gathered all the gold and silver from the church that was not his, it belonged to God... Why did Hezekiah not seek God’s protection? Hezekiah was still lacking ENOUGH? So the King of Judah started stripping the gold and silver off the church doors, the walls, AND AROUND THE CHURCH. HEZEKIAH YOU HAVE MADE A BIG MESS, on top of all that you still do not have enough.

YOU ARE A PRODUCT OF YOUR MENIAL DAILY CHOICES AMD YOUR ATTITUDES! HAVE YOU EVER MADE A BIG MESS OF MAKING ALL THE WRONG CHOICES?

HEZEKIAH INHERITED A MESS, HIS FATHER AHAZ’S CHOICES ESTABLISHED A MESS… The poor choices add up to the point that they PROVOKED GOD TO ANGER.

2 Chronicles 28:24 And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.

25 And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.

WE CAN MAKE A BIG MESS IF WE DEPEND ON WHAT WE CAN DO. TALK ABOUT A MESS… IF THERE CAN BE ANYTHING WORSE THAN MAKING GOD MAD… IT IS MAKING YOUR NEIGHBORS MAD WHILE GOD IS MAD AT YOU… WE CAN HANDLE THIS MESS, MIGHT BE THE WORSE CHOICE YOU COULD MAKE…

2 Chronicles 32:1 After these things, and the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself. 2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem, 3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him. 4 So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria co HEZEKIAH YOU HAVE BEEN

CAN THIS MESS GET ANY WORSE? WELL LET US HIRE HELPERS TO FIGHT FOR US. TRUSTING ON THE ARM OF THE FLESH CAN MAKE BIGGER MESSES. . YOU THINK YOU HAVE POWER TO DEFEAT ME? DO YOU INVEST EVERYTHING IN HIRING ALLIES LIKE EGYPT? EGYPT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU?

2 Kings 18:18 And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder. 19 And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest? 20 Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? 21 Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.

me, and find much water?

WHAT CAN MAKE THIS MESS ANY MESSIER? KEEP IT UP? STIR THE SEPTIC TANK?

Isaiah 38:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

HAVE WE LISTENED TO THE ENEMY SO MUCH WE DOUBT GOD’S ABILITY TO CHANGE OUR MESS INTO A MIRACLE? DON’T TELL ME YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO TRUST IN THE LORD YOUR GOD?

2 Kings 18:22 But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem? 23 Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. 24 How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? 25 Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it. 26 Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews' language in the ears of the people that are on the wall. 27 But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? 28 Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:
