Summary: He is God of all praise his name.

HE IS THE GOD OF ALL THINGS BOTH GOOD AND BAD

Psalm 135

1Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

2Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.

3Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

4For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

5For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

6Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

7He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

8Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

9Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

10Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

11Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

12And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

13Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

14For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

15The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

16They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

17They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

19Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

20Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

21Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

We must remember who God is he is over everything and knows everything.

We question God as to where his power starts and stops however it never stops it is forever.

1. If we love him we must praise him.

Praise him in life

Praise him is song

Praise him in death

Praise him in all the land

2. His love for Israel shows through the Bible

Israel is his treasure

His love for Israel is strong and forever

He has chosen leaders to stand in the gap for his treasure

She has stood tall for thousands of years

Israel is the apple of his eye

3. We must understand God is above all

People put things before him

Gold

Silver

Land

Cattle

Homes

Power

4. We cannot understand God does what he wants any time he wants

6Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

If it pleases the Lord to correct he does (shows his love)

If the Lord sees the need to bring us to our knees he does (pain hurt)

Sometimes he has to lay us down to pick us up (sick)

Remember God is everywhere he sees all.

5. He has to show us who he is to get our attention

7He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

He has total control

Winds

Rains

Hail

Storms

He many times brings things on us so we will wake up.

6. He can move men and women out to clean up a land

10Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

He can and will take out people

He will remove Kings

Presidents

People in high places

God can and will bring nations to their knees

We shall pay a price for our wrongs

7. People today think they are not accountable

13Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

His name is the same today as it was in the old world

His name will stand for all eternity

He will endure for ever

He has all power in heaven and earth

Let’s just praise the Lord

Give him all glory in the earth

Glory to his name
